Tiny Empire is a strategic design studio based in Denmark. Our website (https://www.tinyempire.dk) supports our client engagements in research, insights, and facilitation. This notice explains how we process personal data and how cookies are used on our site.

What we collect

We only collect the information we need to answer enquiries, deliver projects, and run our studio.

• Contact details you send us: name, email, company, phone.

• Project/workshop information: briefs, notes, schedules, participant lists provided by the client.

• Billing details: company name, address, VAT, payment status.

• Website basics: IP address, browser type, and pages you view. Analytics, if enabled, is lightweight and optional (see Cookies).

We don’t ask for sensitive data. Please don’t send it unless we’ve agreed it’s necessary for a project.

How we use it (legal bases)

• Reply to enquiries and deliver projects/workshops — performance of a contract (or steps before one).

• Run and improve our studio (scheduling, notes, internal reporting) — legitimate interests.

• Invoicing and accounting — legal obligation.

• Optional updates you ask for (e.g., occasional news) — consent, which you can withdraw any time.
  
   

Who we share it with
 

We share personal data only with trusted service providers who help us run the studio (hosting, email and calendar, accounting, project tools, and—if enabled—analytics). They process data for us under data‑processing agreements. We do not sell personal data. If the law requires us to share information with authorities, we will.

 

How long we keep it
 

• Enquiry emails: up to 12 months after the last contact.

• Client/project files: for the project duration plus 2 years (unless we agree otherwise).

• Invoices and accounting records: 5 years.

• Analytics data: see Cookies.

If you ask us to delete something we no longer need, we will.

 

International transfers
 

Some providers may be outside the EEA. When that happens, we use safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). Ask us if you want details of specific transfers.

Our site uses essential cookies so it works properly (for example, to remember your cookie choice). We also offer optional analytics cookies that help us understand visits in aggregate. These analytics cookies load only if you choose “Accept analytics” on the banner. You can change your choice anytime via Cookie Settings in the footer. Where supported, we respect Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.

• Essential: a cookie to remember your cookie preference (around 6–12 months) and a basic session cookie for site functionality (session‑only).

• Analytics (optional): if enabled, tools like Google Analytics 4 may set cookies such as “_ga” (up to 2 years) and “_gid” (24 hours). If we add or remove tools (like a chat widget), we’ll update this page and the banner.
  
   

Your rights
 

Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object to or restrict certain uses. If we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
